Jude Chesire, Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Sugar Board, will preside over the International Sugar Organization's Council 2026.

Mr. Jude K. Chesire prior to the appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Sugar Board was the Director in Charge of Sugar Directorate under Agriculture and Food Authority, previously the Deputy Director Legal Services in charge of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance for Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA) after serving as the Head of Regulations and Compliance at the Sugar Directorate.

He has a wealth of professional experience having worked with statutory agencies in senior positions over the last 15 years and practiced law for combined period of 20 years. His experience covers International and Regional Trade Law commercial Law, legislative drafting, public policy, regulatory affairs.

He was part of the team that drafted the National Sugar Policy and most recently a member of the Presidential Task Force on the Sugar Industry, He has been part of the team that successfully negotiated the Sugar safeguards at the COMESA Council since the year 2014 when he joined the sugar industry till the successful exit in 2025. He serves the leader of delegation representing Kenya at  the International Sugar organization since 2023.

Jude is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with an LLB degree from Moi University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Law, the Senior Leadership, Ethics and Corporate Accountability Course from the Harvard Business School, Certificate in Business and Climate Change from Harvad Business School.  He is pursuing a Masters Degree in Public Policy Management at the University of Illinois and a Masters candidate in Leadership, Strategy and Innovation at the Harvard University.

 He currently serves as the Chairman of the London based International Sugar Organization for 2026, prior to that he was the immediate Vice Chairman of the Organization.
